About AutoMechanica

AutoMechanica is all about the tuning enthusiast. The shows are free to attend and they are free to car owners. AutoMechanica is not a competition, but rather a great day out with fellow enthusiasts who appreciate the lifestyle and the cars they and others drive. At first glance AutoMechanica may sound like a a car meet and in the format above it resembles the best of what the local car meet is about, but at the same time it is so much more.

The difference is that AutoMechanica events are held at UTI (Universal Technical Institute) campuses and they are scheduled far in advance to provide as much notice as possible. This advance notice and scheduling at the campuses not only provides a secure venue and tour but also provides the opportunity to bring tuning companies and attractions into the mix, so what you can expect to see at Automechanica events are displays from companies, attractions, and of course lots of cars and enthusiasts.

AutoMechanica is also different in the fact that the events come from the people and they are supported by professional event promoters, in each city AutoMechanica reaches out to not just one, but all local promoters to bring them together in one place for one major event. Those promoters are guided by the professional team at EventWerks, to ensure the events not only go as planned but that they are the best they can be.

How do we know it works? This event was test marketed in February of 2011 at the UTI campus in Orlando, Florida. The event featured the RPM Event Series, State of Stance, Ultra Evolution, and Simply Clean car shows who all came together to promote this event. The results were hundreds of cars and thousands of people in attendance to enjoy a great car show, onstage entertainment, RC car demos, dynos, and to see more than 20 exhibitors ranging from auto parts to t-shirt companies and food trucks. It was the success of this event that prompted this nationwide series in 2012.

About Eventwerks

EventWerks was formed in 2009 by Rich Goodwin, the creator and executive producer of Hot Import Nights from its inception through its heyday. Rich sold Hot Import Nights back in 2004 and left the company to build other events. Among tuning enthusiasts he is known as the "godfather" of the tuning industry and by his peers he has been celebrated as 1 of the 9 Most Important People of 1999 by Peterson Publishing's Super Street Magazine and by the SEMA SCC Council as the 2003 Person of the Year for his efforts in building what we have all come to know as the tuning industry. He and his team at EventWerks will build the events and work with the local promoters in each market.

10th R&D Product Development Innovation Summit

Executive-level seminar and workshop on Innovation Best Practices for R&D and Product Development that will advance New Product Innovation by 5 years.

- OVERVIEW -

This Summit will provide participants with a comprehensive snapshot of the Innovation Body of Knowledge for product creation-development-marketing-commercialization functions with specific emphasis on top management enablers to direct these activities. GGI, a 25-year old company, consults and performs both primary and secondary research on innovation and measurement. GGI is well positioned to synthesize both what is known and what actually works in companies. At our Summit we will not be putting any spin on the subject matter, or espousing any methodologies of our firm. Our goal is to intellectually share what is known in this area in 2012 with our participants. We are constantly refreshing the content of the Summit. Your course book will be freshly updated. There will be several interactive exercises.

We will also project what is most likely to happen to Corporate Innovation knowledge and capabilities in the coming decade. For example, Innovation and Intellectual Property will have much more overlap than they have had in the past. For example, did you know that a benchmark case was settled by the courts in January 2011 that will significantly affect revenues from IP in 2011 and thereafter? For example, Marketing and Engineering/Development organizations will be brought closer together than in the past. The most critical organization interface for product development is the Marketing-Engineering interface. For example, Open Innovation will simply evolve into a more sophisticated Supply-Chain activity and become business as usual. For example, R&D Spending will become more bimodal with significant additional funding going to Advanced Development activities. These are but a few of the major trends that are pretty certain at this time.

At the conclusion of the Summit, participants will be current and will have a glimpse of the future. Senior executives wishing to put themselves and their fellow senior executives in a better position to direct and drive Innovation and IP should strongly consider attending. Several of our participants have said, "GGI's Summit is an Executive MBA on the subject of Innovation."

- ANNOUNCEMENT -

The ability of top managers and professionals to direct and manage Innovation in their companies is the focus of the 10th R&D-Product Development Innovation Summit. The Innovation Summit will be held Tue/Wed/Thur March 6-8, 2012 in metro Boston. The Innovation Summit is a fact and data driven three-day seminar and workshop focused on the select areas of innovation and intellectual property that are tangible and actionable by corporations and their managers.

- Summit Description -

Our quantitative approach to innovation in R&D, Product Development, and Product Commercialization activities emphasizes benchmarking both current performance and leading trends regarding issues that top professionals have to deal with and the decisions that they have to make. For example, do you know which activities and techniques your company currently uses that contribute the most to innovation versus those that simply improve execution? Technical Feasibility Analysis is one of the six most innovative techniques! For example, do you know that there are over 250 available tools and techniques your company could choose to deploy that would likely increase overall creativity and innovativeness? And, that there are about 50 tools worth considering. Some actually increase domain knowledge!

Has your company incorporated any of these innovation tools into its Product Development Process to complement DOE, FMEA, Design Reviews and the numerous other execution-oriented tools that dominate most PDPs? For example, do you know the metrics that are emerging in industry that best capture and/or drive innovative behavior and results at the corporate level? A new "Return On Innovation - ROI" formula is one of them! For example, do you know how to categorize and communicate your registered and unregistered Intellectual Property to maximize market capitalization values by Wall Street analysts? Some frameworks are now several years in practice and are giving companies a leg up on their competitors!

- The 8 Innovation Modules -

The content of the Summit is organized into 8 modules. In summary, the eight modules are:

1. Best Practice Innovation Processes
2. Corporate-Level & Tactical-Level Innovation Drivers
3. Innovation Enablers & Tools: 5 Groups & 50 Items
4. Three Key Innovation Tools & Techniques
5. Semantic Technologies & Knowledge-Enabled Innovation
6. Best Practice IP Valuation, Management, & Communication
7. Open & Outsourced Innovation Frameworks
8. Innovation Metrics & Rewards

The duration of each module and the flow of the Summit over the three days is in our Summit ATaGLANCE and our Summit Brochure. Both documents are downloadable from the Summit home page. A list of Companies that have attended previous Summits, and selected Testimonials from prior participants, are also available.

- Who Should Come -

Our overall approach to the Summit is geared to top-level professionals that manage entire organizations, departments, budgets, and senior program management executives. Numerous companies have brought teams of officers ranging from three to ten in size in the quest to develop an improved and systematic ability to innovate across their employee base. Directors and leaders of technology and product creation activities will gain a high level understanding of what is available to them to systematically embed a culture of innovation, and approaches and alternatives for implementation. Selected techniques will be discussed as examples to illustrate the range of options available. The techniques that a "pure innovator strategy" company might pursue are often different than a company that wishes a "balanced product portfolio strategy." Please be sure though, the level of discussion at this Summit is geared to top management and their ability to direct these activities.

We always offer significant discounts to companies that bring Company Teams of three or more people, $254 per person. Early Bird Rates, effective through the close of business Pacific Time on FRIDAY January 13, 2012, save Individuals $200 per person and an additional $170 per person for members of Company Teams.

Reserve your place today - space is limited.

- Summit Faculty -

This Summit will be led by Bradford L. Goldense, an internationally recognized expert on R&D and product development innovation and metrics. He will be accompanied by John M. Cronin, a leading authority on intellectual property management and valuation and the creator of IBM's Patent Factory. James W. Todhunter, EVP & CTO of Invention Machine Corporation will discuss semantic technology and knowledge-enabled innovation; and demonstrate one of the world's most powerful innovation tools for technical, business, and legal professionals. John R. [Dick] Power, a subject matter expert in program and project delivery, will instruct and lead discussions. Dr. Hans Ludi, a subject matter expert in diagnostics and clinical sciences, will instruct and lead discussions. Together, the five faculty have over one-hundred fifty years of industry experience.

- Location -

Our location is convenient from either Boston-Logan or Providence-Green [great rates] airport. Mention GGI's Summit when you call the hotel. This newly upgraded Sheraton Conference Facility is completely wi-fi, has all amenities, a great walking trail, and boasts a five star chef. For more information about the conference hotel, alternative hotel accommodations, transportation, restaurants, and other information, please find "I'm Already Registered" on the Home Page of our Summit website.

For more information about Goldense Group, Inc. [GGI], a twenty-five year old internationally recognized company in the areas of product development and measurement, go to www.goldensegroupinc.com, or give us a call at 781-444-5400.

We hope you will be able to join us in March for some Tangible Innovation!™

Amber Spyglass
By claiming such varied and genre-defining artists as Siouxsie and the Banshees, PJ Harvey, DJ Shadow and Led Zeppelin as cornerstones, Amber Spyglass evoke sentiments from a variety of minor-key rock sub-genres. From the complex organic rhythms and middle-eastern motifs of "Catalyst Groove" to the kinetic pop of "Hand in Position" exists a common thread: the seductive vocals of Kelly Godshall accompanied by a chameleon of guitar, John DeGregorio (x-Opium Den, Reflecting Skin, Annette Farrington)... ....Amber Spyglass

Craig began to study finger-picking style guitar as a teenager with famed folk and blues artist Philadelphia Jerry Ricks. Craig played during his high school and college years at several Jersey venues and won a songwriting and performing contest at the age of 16 in Ocean City, New Jersey.

Lisa Bastoni
Lisa Bastoni relies more on herself than a genre to make art, and the result is a solid record replete with good tunes and good vibes. When not bemoaning the lack of something or the surplus of something else, your everyday folkie will resort to sappy and/or stream-of-consciousness poetry mumbled over some jangly acoustic guitar. Bastoni's gig is something more noble and refined. She may ply her trade on a subway bench, but her songs don't deserve the indignity of being broken up every eight minutes by the squeal of train brakes. - Review of "Your First Sweetheart" Performer Magazine - C.D. Lenny Solomon Band
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Lenny Solomon's style has been compared to early Bob Dylan, Guy Clark, and Jerry Jeff Walker. Solomon began his career in the late 1960s. A fixture in the old Idler Coffeehouse in Harvard Square, Cambridge, he regularly performed there on Friday nights for over eight years. The Idler was a training ground for such luminaries as Geoff Bartley, Paul Rishell, Spider John Koerner, and Ric Ocasek. During his years as a solo performer he shared bills with many name performers such as Chris Smither, Carolyn Hester, Bonnie Raitt, and Spider John.
